Description
The technology has been successfully tested over the past five years. The initial system was installed in a large post-smolt facility in Norway, where it has been producing, harvesting, and selling fresh Atlantic salmon for the past two years.
The system operates with a salinity level of 15-35‰ and achieves a 98% water recycling rate.
Biofiltration is fully integrated into the SCADA system for automated control, with backwashing scheduled every four weeks.
