Converting from flow-through to RAS drastically reduces water use, improves biosecurity and water quality control, and creates a more sustainable, efficient production system. At North Aquaculture, with our expertise, we can transform existing flow-through systems into modern RAS solutions, enhancing efficiency and sustainability.

Our RAS conversion setup includes a collecting lower sump that gathers water from the fish tanks, ensuring steady flow and efficient circulation. The water then passes through a mechanical filtration unit that removes suspended solids, protecting downstream components. Next, it enters an automatic backwash fixed-bed biofilter equipped with our innovative double degassing system, which efficiently removes excess gases and maintains optimal biological conditions continued by UV treatment in order to reduce microbial load. Together, these elements deliver exceptional water quality, supporting healthy fish growth and stable system performance.
