Vacuum degasser – indoor
Area of use
The vacuum degasser is designed for efficient gas stripping in aquaculture systems, targeting the removal of CO₂ to improve animal welfare. Operating at a salinity of 3‰, 13°C, and a flow rate of 300 m³/hour, it achieves 40% CO₂ removal at a vacuum of 32 cm (reducing 8 mg/L to 4 mg/L) and up to 75–80% across the system at 55 cm vacuum with aeration over a fixed bed filter. Nitrogen gas removal reaches 4% at 55.5 cm vacuum without aeration but decreases slightly to 3% with aeration due to adjustments in nitrogen levels (~102%). Depth optimization of 55–60 cm over the fixed bed enhances CO₂ reduction while maintaining nitrogen stability. Effective for lightly loaded, transparent freshwater, this system ensures reliable water quality improvement.
